Late Victorian Hairpiece
This is a small project I did for my cotume history class. The objective was to research a period, technique or item of our interest and adapt it for stage purposes. I chose a hairpiece in the style of the late victorian era (1860-1885). I wanted it to be easy to use, easy to maintain and doable within a small budget. This piece is very lightweight and can be worn even by actresses with short hair. Thanks to the simple attachment method through wigclips, the actresses will be able to attach it themselves.
The base is made with a dacron stuffed black pantyhose, actual hairdo uses kanekalon braiding hair sewn in place, accentuated with pearls.
